PCT LIA > Luminometer Instrument

The Berthold LB 952 (T/16) luminometer is our reference measuring instrument.

  • The measuring instrument must be able to accommodate 12 x 75 mm test tubes.
  • Two injectors, either adjustable or fixed, must be set to dispense an injection volume of 300 ml and calibrated.
  • The injection system must be corrosion-resistant, because the reagents in the basic kit contain the following ingredients:
    BR1: 0.5% H2O2 in 0.1 M HNO
    BR2: 0.25 M NaOH
  • The instrument must have an uptake mode to draw in new reagent solution and to rinse the system with distilled water.
  • It should be possible to set the instrument so as to ensure a delay time of 1.20 seconds between the first and second injections.
  • The delay time between the second injection and measurement should be 0.00 seconds. The chemical reaction that leads to light emission occurs in the first third of the second. In other words, the second injection should occur directly in the measurement position.
  • Technical data on the photomultiplier
    a. Chemical background should be < 100 RLU
    b. Signal linearity of 100 to 700,000 RLU
    c. Highest possible level of precision (RLU vs. VC)
